4 minute hot towel treatment.
Proraso Pre-Shave.
TM Strop
Moss scuttle
Best Badger Brush
Vulfix Lavender Shave Cream
5/8 Dovo Prima Silver Steel Round Point with Ebony scales.
CA Trading Co. Dominica Bay Rum.
Decided to boil some water on the stove to soak my brush and make lather in the scuttle. Also "borrowed" the wife's Pfaltzgraf stoneware fruit bowl to put the steaming water in to rinse the blade during the shave. The steaming water made
a big difference in my opinion. The lather was very warm with each pass and the hot water really warmed the blade and it seemed to shave better. Overall it was probably the best shave I have ever had. Now I need to figure out how to hide that fruit bowl on my shaving shelf

the icing on the cake.

Thanked: 346Friday:
Rooney small style 1 brush
Harris Arlington soap
8/8 Wade & Butcher "Barber's Use"
Feather with Super Pro blade
Harris face milk
Truefitt & Hill 1805
Smooth BBS shave. The W&B is a big heavy sucker, so I did the touch-up with the Feather, a task at which it excels. Great shave. Always fun to sanely and soberly wave a machete around my head.

Thanked: 346Rooney small style 1
Harris Arlington soap
6/8 John Clarke & Son rt
Taylor's Bay Rum
This morning I honed up my Clarke & Son like I did the W&B yesterday. Lathered up and got a beautiful shave, but nicked the blade on the spigot when I rinsed. I backhoned it hard on my arkansas stone to try and force some of the steel back into position, then took it back to the norton. See how it shaves tomorrow, I reckon.

Thanked: 9Friday 4:20 pm
my boys were asleep when i stropped, but woke up for the shave.
kabeso stainless razor (still haven't measured size)
tony miller strop
synthetic brush
williams mug soap
i no longer ever use the razor bent. scales and blade remain inline, so i never touch the tang. it's just easier for me. it took a while to learn it with my left hand, but now with both hands i find i hold the blade almost effortlessly and simply brush the hair from my face. it's awesome.
like RichZ said, i love shaving. sometimes i do it when i don't need to. it's become therapeutic.
