    Mother's Day Shave
    Prep:Hot Shower
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird Custom Double
    Brush: H.L. Thater 23mm
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
    Soap:Martin De Candre (Thanks Bill!)
Razor: Wostenholm Pipe(freshly touched up on Shooby-Dooby Asagi)
After shave: Ogallala Bayrum, Sage, & Cedar
    EDT:L'Occitane Vetyver

Result: First and foremost let me say thanks to Bill for sending me a sample of the Martin De Candre : . I now completely understand why this soap receives the reviews it receives. Coupled with the H.L. Thater brush, lathering it on my face was a zen like experience. Very smooth and creamy and the scent was a mixture of floral and spice. The Wostenholm had extra glide and cushion thanks to this amazing lather and her recent touch up on the Shooby-Dooby Asagi has left her with a wonderful buttery smooth edge. This shave was tremendous and I'm BBS all over. I hope everyone had an enjoyable day!

It´s simple deduction: with the current rate of new Maxscales comming out from Robert, he has to keep Max very close, my dear Watson.

This week is off to a great start. As a HADict, it's always nice when the mailman brings new stones to the arsenal

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: Plisson HMW #16
Razor: Jose Montserrat Pou, Filarmonica Especial para barbas duras #14 Green
    Strop: Kanayama #90000 tri-strop
    Soap/Cream: Penhaligon's Endymion
    Astringent: Alum
    After shave Balm: Penhaligon's Endymion
    EdT: Penhaligon's Endymion
Results: A fine shave today! I'm gonna dive right in and start playing around with the new stones shown in this photo. The big one is a Shoubudani Light Asagi. Then there is a Oozuku traveller hone, Tenjio, Botan and Mejiro slurry stones. And of course, a Tomo-Nagura stone on top of the big one. I'm as always starting out on new stones with a razor that has a wide bevel, that makes it a bit easier to evaluate visually what's going on. So, off to the stones Have a great week, Gentlemen!

Razor: Max Sprecher 8/8 French Point in Mokume Gane
    Strop: Kanayama
Brush: Simpsons Chubby 2 (2-Band Super)
    Soap: Tabac
    ASB: Sabon
    EdT: Montale Red Vetyver
Result: Supercalifragilisticexpialidotius! I put my Chubby to use for the first time this morning, and it was an incredible experience! The stiff 2-band hair chewed up the Tabac and spit it back out as a wonderful, thick moist lather! This custom blade simply glided over my face removing several days worth of stubble and leaving me BBS! When a face this smooth is treated to the Montale Red Vetyver, good things are bound to happen! The week is starting out wonderfully...

Why not just learn to read the kana? botan, meijiro, tenjou, and koma are all very easy to learn. Botan and koma are generally written in katakana, so it is all straight lines (easy to recognize that way), while meijiro and tenjou are both written in kanjii and very recognizable from one another...
