Thanks Robert. You are correct, she is new to the stable. I'd been on the hunt for a couple of W&B wedges and this is one of the 2. I finished the other restore (the one from last Saturday's SOTD) and I will be posting that later tonight and it will be my SOTD tomorrow. Have a great day my friend!

    Prep:Hot Shower
    Scuttle:Dirty Bird Custom Double
Brush:TGN 24mm Silvertip Custom in Cherry
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle Strop
    Cream: CarrieM's BRV
    Razor: Imperial “Extra Hollow Ground”
After shave: Ogallala Bayrum, Sage, & Cedar
    EDT: L'Occitane Vetyver

Result:A quick 2 pass shave this morning. This blade I cleaned up and rescaled in clear acrylic a while ago and have been using it as my hone testing blade. I gave it a few passes on the Escher before this mornings shave and she provided a very comfortable shave.

    Have a fantastic Wednesday everyone!

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Henks 21 mm silvertip
    Razors: C V HEljestrand B K 42 + Aristocrac no 15
Super lather: Al´s Custom´+ Provence Santé
    AS: Ogallala Limes and Pepercorns
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very close

This blade doesn´t mess around, 1/4ish, stiff and more close to a kamisori blade in the feel (I think) than a western blade. Super nice lather too, they worked well together.

Tonight I tried out this strop which I recently gave a complete overhaul. It was an ebay special when I first started straight shaving and was in terrible shape. It sat in my cupboard for 2 years until I recently decided to fix it up, and it did a great job.
The Tabac Uber is a favorite of mine and its hard not to go for the full 3 passes with a nice big bowl full of creamy lather.

    Grant,
Nice job on the strop...it looks pretty darn good from where I am standing. That Bangall is a looker too. +1 on the Tabac (good stuff indeed).

    Rene,
With all the blades you've got, it may take you a lifetime before you finish the rotation, LOOOL. But it will make for unique SOTDs everyday.

The hunt seems to be over Glenn...Great catches indeed. Looking forward to seeing the other W&B tomorrow again

Fantastic Helje Mikael. I agree about the feel. This thing may be small, but she's no slacker and she means business.

    Birnando,
That Engels is a beauty. Love the scales and the color scheme. Fabulous choice of software too. The MdC lavende is surely growing on me too.
