So do I skip the ATG and leave room for quick growth or do I Carpe Deum and feel like a million bucks immediately? I decided to skip the ATG this time because I know the kind of work that Hans does and I'd have no hair DNA left if I went ATG!! Excellent (if incomplete) Shave
    Tim,
I see that you are suffering from one of the dilemmas that's plagued wetshavers for ages; "do I or don't I"? I say seize the day buddy. Go all out, everyday, and ease up when you wish (just for the fun of double enjoyment later)

PS: You did not mention how you liked the MdC?

When I got it it was too slick for my tastes. I thought it needed more feedback. A little strop conditioner once a week, with a lot of palm rubbing and I think it's perfect. It was worth every penny I paid for it.

I love OBR in all it's flavors. We even use the soaps and love them for the fragrance they release in the bathroom during a shower. I use it LIBERALLY, and thank goodness my wife likes the scent.
Thank you for the info Mike

Thanks Nic. I think it's the same ones I have. I'll have to check (if I remember where I put my blades)

I haven't seen the post/thread Rune, but looking forward to seeing your experience with it afterwards. I, for one, am not a big fan of extreme sharp. I like it sharp enough but smooth (not sure if it makes sense). On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the shapest), I tend to gravitate towards 8.5-ish. Smoothness I like it closer to 9.5-10.

    Wowww B.,
That CL is a beauty for sure. Congrats.

PS: So, how many razors do you have in your collection? I am willing to bet that 40% of the world's razors are in your possession, LOL. Of those, probably 50% are customs.

Sorry about the rough shave Veto. But hang in there. It will get better. This razor is a fabulous find. Congrats both on finding it and going all straight without DE today. You are on the right path. Once technique is there (+ properly honed razor), then nirvana is all you will strive for.

Robert, I had tried MDC about 2 to 3 times with the sample u so graciously gave me, and it pretty much turned me into a face latherer only, its amazing stuff, one of the best soaps I have tried( I also have La Toja, and English Fern coming soon though) there was a difference, the scent was obviously stronger to my nose, which is a great thing with this scent

Not bad for a phone, eh?

I'm not usually a fan of the "sepia" filter - I mostly feel that it's way overused, but after messing around the the brightness, contrast, saturation and general hue, it came out alot better than I expected. This droid is making me smile more each day!

That makes perfect sence my friend, and that it the reason I am a afraid it might be too sharp.

I got the chance the other day to lather some up with Obie. Man, I really don't want to wait the 2 weeks to get mine. I can still smell the sweet fragrance filling my nostrils. *sigh*

I agree... MDC is an amazing shaving soap. Effortless lather, nice fragrance, great cushion and glide.

What more could a wet shaver ask for? Perhaps another 170g jar?
