I do apologize gentlemen. I just got home (1:40AM) from a very busy day. I am literally too dead to go through each individual posts now, but please accept my "thanks" for sharing them and my apologies for not commenting on them. Tomorrow will be a repeat of today, but I wanted to get a head start and post my gear for tomorrow (without results as usual) since I will probably be a bit rushed.

Thanked: 1185Monday Dome and Face Shave
Prep: Hot Shower
Dome Razor: 1960 Fatboy @ 7
Face Razor: Imperial Extra Hollow Ground
Brush: Omega Boar
Cream: TOBS Eton College (Love this Stuff!)

With all that lounging poolside and burning fine stogies, I complete forgot about my weekend haircut. No worries though, dome and face are CBS to start the week. Don't know about you fellas but frankly I could stand a couple more days off. But, like my Mom used to say, "Wish in one hand and..." Anyway, let's have some fun out there this week.

Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Superlather: Cade Razor: Revisor ASB: Cade EdT: MPG Route du Vetiver (Vintage) Result: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! I hadn't used this Revisor in some time, and I'd almost forgotten what a joy it is to shave with. After taking yesterday off from shaving, there was a little bit of stubble built up; this blade didn't ever notice. After two passes I was ready to go, but what fun would that be? So I took a third pass. Now you could not prove I grow a beard! It's shaping up to be a great week, gentlemen, and I'm ready for the world!
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

No, I did not know that info on Saxony. Interesting. Very rich lather with the Florena today. Approaches the Nivea shave cream, in a sense.
This razor is very aggressive indeed. An excellent and fast shave, just what I wanted for a Monday morning. One pass and touch-ups, just short of BBS. Face is smooth and soft after this, thanks to the Korres cream as well I have to say.
The new MÜHLE R41 is by far the most aggressive DE razor I have come across, adjustables left aside. My favorite DE is the Gillette Tuckaway. However if you are careful when you initially land the new R41 to touch your face, and provided you get the angle right (this depends on experience), you will be rewarded with an ultimately close shave.
I did have a blade alignment issue this morning (was the first time using the new R41). Blade was protruding more on one side. Tried to adjust, unscrewed the razor head, put it back having turned it round 180 degrees, not much result. I'm ok with it, though, as I know that with the edge that protrudes out more I got to be more careful - no issues.
Shaves like these provide me with a nice change from straight shaving, and save time when I have slept more than usual and thus run late.
Did yourself feel the new R41 was 'too aggressive'? To me it's a fine tool that will reward you accordingly if you're simply careful with and not afraid of it.

I got one of the first R41 and tested it with Feather-blades. If you use a correct angle it works very well.
