Sorry I haven't posted in sooo long but I have been on a Proraso kick lately. Only been using pre/post, soap, and AS every day. This is so I can concentrate on technique, and the shaves have been breathtaking my friends! Don't worry though, not half as beautiful as all your SOTD pics... thanks for the inspiration!

Sorry I haven't been around for a few days men. I just got home from the hospital after a 3 day stay with so many tests it was amazing. So many tests that I was only able to eat 1 meal a day for the two of those days. Today I got Breakfast and Lunch!! What a treat!!!!

Ok, for those curious, I had an apparent series of heart attacks this last Sunday. During the testing and MRI's and the radiation, etc.. they discovered 2 bulging disks in my neck too!! Not life threatening. They also found I have had a heart attack previously. Some scarring showed up during the tests. But an ultra sound today showed that everything is pumping as it should, and I passed the heart treadmill stress test with flying colors. They aren't sure why this is happening, but my heart rate is an amazingly low 38-45BPM at rest. They thought there was something wrong, but determined this was my norm.

The Dr''s. are talking about doing some surgery on my neck, but I was on an aspirin regimen that I must discontinue until they determine what to do with my neck. I see them again in 2 weeks. I've been in pain for so long I was kind of used to it. But I was mighty glad to go home today.. It's back to work tomorrow for me!!

Now, for todays shave! I haven't shaved in 3 days so this was going to be heaven!! I'm pulling out the big guns for this ..

    Old Spice Shaving Soap
    Puma 'My Darling'
    OBR +Lime+peppercorns AS
    OBR cologne

No pictures boys, I have to much catchup to do!! But believe me, I enjoyed every single second of the shower and shave.

    Happy shaving mates!!!

    M,

Glad to hear that you have been released from the hospital and that the physicians were able to diagnose what ailed you. I've been there and done that. It's no fun.

Glad to hear too that your shave was as good as gold. You deserved it.

Glad to hear you are well and that your systems are running strong.
On the heart rate: The only thing I can think is top athletes sometimes have very low heartbeat rates. Perhaps it is a blessing.

Glad you out of the hospital and home. Hope everything goes well. Scary to have a heart attack and not know it.

    Default FIL-Harmoniuos DUET!

I honed these up last night. The newer fili is the first razor that did not like the nortons. She was popping hairs off the Chosera 1k then went completely dull off the 4/8k. I dropped down to the 4k still nothing. Back to the 1k and she was popping hairs again. I had to skip the whole 4/8k psrt of my honing and jump to my nagura's. 4/8 is the only middle stone i have.

Well i can honestly say there is NO difference between the 2 fili's. Older fili14 and the newer Fili DT. I recieved BBS in 2 passes as to be expected. No irritation, super smooth. Ahhhh!!!!!

Sorry to hear this Bill. Best of luck with the interviews! Wherever you end up, they'll be lucky to have you.
