Results: This new Puma was a pleasure to use. I have a few Puma's and they are all very fine razors with good steel. The Floris products are IMO very good, fully on par with the other traditional English houses. In fact, I'd go so far as to say even better than most of them
Good going Birnando...Glad to hear the Puma lived up to her reputation. BIG +1 on the Floris line. I have the JF and #89 soaps and they are not just good, but as "Tony the Tiger" would say: Theyyyyyyy're Greaaaaat!! How does the Elite smell like?

I bet you look like Mr. Clean now...Beautiful shave. I really like that Hassal. Very fitting for tackling 3 days of growth.

Post Week of July 24 SOTD - Sunday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 26mm Simpson "Chubby 2", 2-band Super Badger
Razor: 15/16" Filarmonica "Doble Temple" #14, Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point
Strop: 40/70 (Neil Miller Linen / Ambrose Horse Hide Clásico leather)
Überlather: La Toja "Mamantiales" Shave Soap
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: La Toja "Mamantiales" AS
    Cologne: La Toja "Mamantiales" EdC
Results: The shave with the Filarmonica was simply fantastic. Those of you that have one know what I am talking about and those of you that don;t...well, you need to get yourself one and you'll know too. Coupled with the La Toja, she delivered a first class, überluxurious experience . Thirty minutes of pure bliss. This is going to be a great Sunday. Wife and I are taking a break from family, gettogethers, nephews, nieces and going out on a date (maybe lunch and a movie? I am thinking "Cars 2" to catch up with the rest of the world. She is thinking foreign film like "Midnight in Paris". Choices, choices .

    Have a SPECTACULAR Sunday guys.

What a nice shave Mike. Dipping in ice cold water sounds very interesting. It hasn't gotten that hot where I am yet, but will definitely try your method when we get there. Thanks for the nice tip.

Slept late today so I kind of got a late start on everything. Oh well, I guess sometimes you have to do that. Great dome and face shave 3 passes on the dome and 2 on the face.
Late or not, that's one great satisfying shave

    Wowww Michael,
I had no idea you were going through such a challenge buddy. My thought and prayers are with you and kudos to your sister for being strong and having the courage to go through with this. But then again, that's what family is all about. Do keep us appraised of your situation (if you can). I am looking forward to seeing a "New & Improved" you (so to speak) with a new lease on life buddy.

    Default Sunday Shave

PREP: Hot shower with face scrub
RAZOR: Wade and Butcher " For Barbers Use" Full Hollow , in Translucent horn with Black/Green G10 wedge
    BRUSH: Rudy Vey Chubby
    SOAP: Martin De Candre
    ASB: Skinfood Sandalwood
    EDT: NOIR
RESULTS: 4 DAYS GROWTH GONE IN A FLASH!
I worked on this blade and scales and finished it up on Thursday, and honed it up, and wanted to really have some whiskas for this shave. Well this razor is plain awesome. It cleaned my beard away with ridiculous ease coupled with the MDC soap it was a moisture full shave, and I have an extremely smooth BBS skin. What a great way to start off the day.
