Thanked: 1072Location: Coffs Harbour AustraliaHope you all have a great week
Strop: MickR's Kangaroo Hide
Brush: Premium Silvertip Badger in Cocobolo
Soap: MDC (Thank you Glenn)
Razor: John Hassal 6/8 Near Wedge
Astringent: Thayer's Original Witch Hazel
Balm: C.O. Bigelow Mentha
A/S: Wahl Bay Rum
After 3 days without a shave I was feeling a bit like a caveman. The Hassal wedge received 10 laps on the CrOx balsa strop just for the occasion. She did not disappoint. 3 days growth wiped away with 3 passes leaving me smooth as a baby's butt. It doesnt get much better than this.
Thanks for all the great posts and pics fellas

No straight today. I'm in a bit of a rush. Very smooth shave. Very impressed with the Cade.
P.S. The aluminium dish is very nice and a lot more substantial than it looks in photos!
P.P.S. Can't find camera......I'm hoping honorable daughter No.1 has borrowed it!!

Theseus, that elegant handled boar brush raises the bar. Congratulations on a simple, yet elegantly apportioned shave
Mark, that’s a beautiful razor. And for barber’s use only? Does the barber know that you are using his razor? LOL
You said it. Wedges are great for shaving dense beards. Ice water as a cooling replenisher during a shave? Hmmm… I’ll have to try that.
You deserve a rest on Sunday. If I could have slept in late today, I would have done so as well. BTW…How is the Manantiales De La Toja 1OldGI? Just wondering.
Beautiful photo as always Teiste. It appears that you have quite collection of shaving brushes there."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain
