    Thank you very much guys!

    Robert,
coating of the handles, over the steel (full tang) are from sting black ray skin.
Some of my knives are EDC (every day carry) example the Laguiole, small Busse and one Strider SnG - Kozuka was also recently -, the other are pieces of my knife collection.

    Default Wednesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: Simpson Berkeley
Razor: Face: ERN 2200 5/8 Head: Henckels 4/8 near wedge
Honing Regimen: ERN: Naniwa 1-3-5-8-12K-Escher Henckels: Chosera progression - Escher, (I think) honed by Birnando
Strop: 40/60 Neil Miller Linen/Legion Kanga-moo, Moo side
    Soap/Cream: GTF Violet
    After shave: L'occitane Verdon Spalsh
Results: Face: Nice and smooth two pass DFS, unfortunatly I now remembered why I don't use this cream very often, not much glide and cusion to track from this, at least not close to what I'm used to. But still a nice shave. Head: My first straight razor head shave ever! And it actually went surprisingly well, two passes left me with a almost BBS head, but started to get a little sore, so to get it perfect I took out my regular head shaver (Wilkinson Quattro) for a minor touch up.

    Paul,
So are you saying you're now a DE convert, LOOOL? For me personally, as easy as it is using a DE, I find that straights are much much more enjoyable to use (not to mention that they give me a much closer shave)
I agree but I see a definite spot for them in my rotation on days it's not possible to Str8 shave. Much more preferable then a disposacrap!!!!

DFS today after taking a break honing razors all day. Four hollow ground were easy and fast, a frameback went well and one wedge was quick. But I have two full wedge I had to put down for awhile!!!!
Oh well tough problem right??? LOL The shave went great. Started on 3-WTG, 5-XTG, 7-ATG. It felt so good I did a 4th pass on 9 WTG again. It really does feel like a Str8 shave!!! The limes and coconut mix smelled like Key lime pie. Simply fantastic and whip cream like. Great shave and love all the pics. Lots of big blades out there so I'll have to go back for a heavy Thurs!!!
Have a great rest of the day all and good morning across the pond!!!

Nice tang on that razor and I don't know WHAT you've got in that bowl; some sort of desert obviously!
