    Default Sunday

    Good Morning,

First day of my working week.

Something of a departure today, I decided to shave with a DE

    Prep: Shower
Brush: Aqua Di Parma, Sivertip, Wenge Wood Handle
    Cream: Kaloderma
    Razor: Feather AS-d1
    Blade: Feather
    Astringent: Allume Di Rocca Naturale
    AS: Old Spice White Water

    Great shave

I have a number of DE Razors, I would say that this one gives me the best shave, closely followed by the much less expensive EJ89L.

I hope you're all having a great day.

    Good morning boys!

Last night I worked on honing a beautiful Wostenholm & Sons IXL razor that I rescaled recently with Polymer Clay. It was a tough blade to get sharpe but I managed after finally adding a layer of electrical tape.

Had a great shave with only a bit of irritation around my neck due more from my inexperience with this blade than anything else I think. I really like the Irisch Moos cream. This time I made an uberlather from it, MWF and glycerin and it was a fantastic combination!

    Razor:Torrey 4/8
    Brush:Jade and brass handled boar
    Soap:Omega
    AS:Thayers Lavender and Clubman original
Result:This Torrey is a bear to hone but it is a complete pleasure to shave with. The only 4/8 I have that could possibly take care of 5 days growth comfortably.Three pass CBS.

Razor - Joseph Rogers & Sons - "Smilin Joe"
    Brush - Semouge boar
Soap - Good Fortune clay soap -coconut
    Alum - BLOC OSMA
    EDT- AESOP ,Marrakech

    Mornin;

Here's a smiling razor to start the day off right! Went with the face lather today and used some Sweet Island coconut soap bar. Really nice amount of soap-n-suds produced with the stiff boar brush.

Waited days for this one after acquiring it off fleabay for a song, been honing this little Filly for what seams forever and don't seam to be getting anywhere.

Beread-knifed on a carborundum due to slight frown.
Bevel set with 1k side of an Ice Bear King waterstone
Honed on the 6k side with nagura slurry/slurry water/water
    Finished on a CF
Finally stropped 300 laps on newspaper

Results were a bit of a let down as it dragged even though it started to pop hairs. Needs more work maybe using tape but she's getting there. Must stop feeling of HAD creeping in - keep looking at 10k waterstones and Norton combis.. Argh!

    Default Late Sunday shave

    Nice work today, Gentlemen!
Second shave with my newest addition, a Henckels 66. Really cool how the leather makes a big improvement on smoothness with the second shave after honing! Like Butter!
Have a great Sunday and an awesome week to come and.....get it on...Tom
