Well todays shave was blah!!!!!! I spent two hours last night and a couple today honing razors. Most on the new wedge I finished, and still did not get a good bevel. I must admit I have not gotten to the wedge hone skill set yet! Glen these are coming to you when I get to seven!! The others I thought I had done well but today I grabbed this up and started shaving and was unimpressed with my work. Now I was sitting there asking myself why and what was wrong with the blade. It wasn't a horrible shave but not the good-great shave I'm used to after coming off my hones. Then it hit me...
I FORGOT TO STROP AFTER HONING!!!!! I stropped it up and it is fantastic. Soooo It will get test shaved again later this week.

P.S. anyone ever see this blade before? (The completed one not the one on the hones) it says Solingen but I'm unfamiliar. The scales are African Blackwood.Last edited by Str8Shooter; 08-25-2011 at 01:18 AM.
