No electricity at home yet since the hurricane hit. Below is my SOTD since Sunday. A mirror hung in the bathroom window and either a W&B or a TOYO Sheon Burg razor. Luckily I have gas hot water heat so I have been able to get hot showers.

The damage to the area was surprisingly bad considering that it was only a CatI hurricane. Lots of trees down, some on houses, cars and electric wires. I am fully prepared for a zombie uprising so this is only a minor inconvenience for me. The power was restored at noon today at my workplace so at least I can post again.

I was going to rest my skin today, but I got my newest brush yesterday Thank you Rod! It's such a fine brush and my pic doesn't do it justice! I should have test lathered/washed it before using it the first time, but I couldn't wait until it dried again . Hogged a little, like any new brush, but it was a W O W feeling anyway! Dense and super nice bristels, but yet not to dense, it holds water like nothing else. I'm so happy about this one, no wonder he makes pencils for Prince William, this is a TOP NOTCH quality brush straight through! I'll post a bloom pic later ...
Congrats Mikael...I LOOOOOOVE that brush. Very very very nice. Even though she's the same size as the Chubby, she overshadows it. beautiful handle bro. What a nice TI too. I am so glad you did decide to shave today rather than take a break. Excellent SOTD

A big shave tonight, 3 days growth on the face and at least 4 days on the head.
Its been quite a while since I pulled out the Wostenholm and I really should more often. What a great shave.
    Grant,
That's a pristine looking piece of steel. Awesome mate. I meant to ask: How was the meetup at Oz' place? or is my question a bit premature?

Very nicely done Angel...I heard about the TOBS almond. Never tried it, but I have some of the other TOBS and I love them.

Great lather and a fine blade equals a terrific shave. And today will be better than yesterday.
    Nathan,
CarrieM's cremes are often under appreciated. They are very good indeed. Terrific shave brother

A while ago I gave my Friodur a little chip banging it against the sink, very small but annoying still. So it went back to the hones today. Took out the chip on the DMT 325, then my regular progrssion of Chosera 1k and Shapton 2-6-4-6-8-16k, finished with 10 laps on CrOx on balsa.
Got some great tips from honing perfectionist Tom Blodgett about using the Shaptons and was rewarded with a very sharp, yet really smooth edge.
    Amund,
That chip must have been annoying, but great to hear that this beauty is back on track. Those Shaptons can truly deliver. Love those stones

It feels a little small in my hand, but provided a comfortable and very smooth BBS nonetheless. Now for some BBQ ribs, my cooker is standing in a light drizzle of rain cooking up some deliciousness.
    Sten,
Forget the shave buddy...I am coming over for that delicious BBQ of yours, LOOOOL

    Hey Jack,
Glad to hear that you are doing OK...Sorry about the electricity and damage to the area. Irene was pretty bad, even for a Cat I hurricane. Any loss of life is unacceptable.

Thank you Robert! I was so happy when I got the brush - it's a looker, chunky and heavy in hand. While I'm thinking of saving my face, you shave twice a day, looool

Don't say I didn't warn you . Great gear José.

Here's a recommendation for safety: Get a net and hang it below the roof. In case you get into an accident again (God forbid), your gear will be safe (and you will not have to suffer another heart attack)

Shaving twice? Who's shaving twice. No shave for me yet today...I will do it later though...stay tuned. I am going to make this one reaaaaly count as I will not see any gear for at east 4 days...I will use my Carl Herder this evening. When I get back from vacation, I am going to need a machete to get through that growth. I have a feeling that come Monday, I will pull out the Maxtom to cut through the 4 day jungle...That's the only blade I trust to get the job done.

This was my first try with Tabac and I can see where it's scent is polarizing. I'm still on the fence with it. Not a perfect shave as I think I added too much water to the mix. Lather was a little thin. I love this blade!!! Honed her up the other day after making the new dress for her. Going to try the scent on SWMBO! If she likes it then it will stay. Fantastic shaves all!
