And the Strops!
Have a great week and thanks for all the fantastic posts!
Started off with a hot towel, lathered up with T&H Trafalgar on a Rooney brush, removed it with a Boker Edelweiss the more I use this razor the more I like the way it shaves. Gave a smoooooth start to a very busy Monday, oh and I topped it off with a splash of RL POLO Sport. Have a peaceful evening gentlemen.
My best to you all,
Jim

Two days growth wiped out in two pass shave, minor touch up, still keeping the small goatee, dont know what it is lately but I cannot win a single straight razor on the bay, even though the ones i'm looking at, need some work they seem to be going for way above what they are worth, well the people buying them must start to slow up before long, allowing poor me to get hold of a few

I finally have the TI dialed in and this was one of the best 2 pass shaves I've ever had. Exquisite!
Akatombow | Shavemac | DR Harris Almond + Acca Kappa 1869 + Glycerin | Thayers Lavender | Cade + Knize Ten (Vintage) | The Knize Ten
http://i924.photobucket.com/albums/a...y/4739ce0c.jpg
Result: I am constantly amazed by how incredible the DR Harris/AK 1869 combo is. It's almost like these two products were simply meant to be put together! I took my time this morning building a pile of lather in my bowl, then slowly worked it into the stubble. After several minutes, my face looked like I was sporting a full Santa Claus beard and the den was filled with the aroma of sweet almonds. The dilemma was what blade to pair with this heavenly lather, so I did what any dedicated wet shaver would do, I reached for a blade I hadn't used in a while. The Akatombow is a wonderful example of western style Japanese razors. The gorgeous frame back is clothed in some elk bone scales put together by Glen, and it makes for such an incredible balance both in terms of looks and feel of the razor. This beauty glided through the almond goodness with nary a care. In its wake, I found nothing but clean, smooth, moist skin. By the time I emerged from the shave den, I was a new man! Of course, the ritual cannot be considered complete until you've got a little smell good working and with the this combination, I had to reach for a classic, so the Knize Ten was applied judiciously and now I smell at least as good as I look!

@ BLIX
Sorry I'm late, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! :beer1:
Beautiful
Joe,
Thank you for the kind words. Glad it's working out ;-)
LOOOL.
EA,
Now, that's what makes this worthwhile. Beautiful shave with a beautiful razor
Sorry about the irritation Dinatali, but it happens sometimes, without any explanation. The variables could be outside of the shave. Don't worry, I am sure tomorrow's will be better
Tom,
Love the worked back TI. Very sexy
Béla
That brush and razor are a beautiful match up...Love the blue scales/handle
Jamie,
Sorry about the string of bad luck buddy, but keep the chin up...you will get your day under the sun. What are you looking for?
Mikael,
A razor with an attitude, eh? She's gorgeous. I don't think I've heard of this kind before. New addition?
Otto,
Another beauty comes out of your collection
Birnando,
That Otto Deutsch is gorgeous. Glad she's met your expectations. In regards to AdP, have you given the RazoRock XXX a try? I would say it's exactly the same scent as the AdP, equally great performance at a fraction of the cost. Highly recommended
Jack,
Congratulations on dial in that edge and getting your 2nd best shave ever. It's a great feeling indeed. Well done.
Also, you're a man after my own heart my friend ;-). That QED soap is a wonderful choice.
Love (I mean absolutely love) the desert ironwood on that brush. Stunningly gorgeous. Great choice of gear today (and every day) my friend
Bill,
Oh my...from the sounds of it, you didn't want to get out of the den. I don't blame you with that kind of shave. Well done buddy.
Grant,
Beautiful heirloom mate. I know you've been a bit busy lately, but it's great to see your posts
I love that blade...Great choice again GI
Nice Beau Joe...I think they should rename it Butter Brummel, LOL
Angel,
Lovely soap, lovely razor and lovely finish. Beautiful shave my friend
Nathan,
Excellent shave buddy. Great pictures too...I like them both

Well I dont have anything in mind Robert, but I keep my eyes out for a few razors with a nice restore in mind, but there's a few restorers out there and we all must be bidding on the same razor. I suppose my luck will change in my favour shortly, thanks for asking Robert.
Regards Jamie.
