Tuesday 27th
Toyo (Swedish steel) 13/16
Tony Miller 'Notovan' 15/30 (razor was oiled and ready to go)
Simpsons Polo 10 Two Band custom
Speick
Chanel Allure Edition Blanche after shave balm
La Toja Manantiales after shave lotion
Nice razor there, first go today with this new blade, pretty evident feedback as it's hollow or extra hollow, I'm still no good to take a picture for you lot, the Polo 10 Two Band proves to be my new favorite brush and a phenomenal latherer, the Speick never fails to disappoint, the Chanel Allure Edition Blanche smells all the way from the bathroom to the kitchen (where our cook usually resides pre-lunch) as soon as I open the screw-in cap of the hard tube, and I do miss the closeness of the Feather SS (but not its 'Lexus' style approach to shaving...)

Thank you all for the fine post`s this Tuesday!
Started my day with some awakening stuff today because I went to work very early. Needed something to wake me up, so Proraso cream it was. Not that I have a wide selection of Straight`s, but my pick of the day become a Thiers-Issard 6/8 Historic with Snakewood scales. My best investment to date for sharpness, a Scrupleworks 3" strop paid me back with incredible smoothness in the blade, and as always, Shavemac two band in D01 quality raised my hairs just like a horror movie, hehe.
Three passes later, I was awake and clean as a baby butt, I must say that both the Proraso shaving cream and aftershave balm delivers very good quality for a very fair price.
Another great start of the day, shaving with Straight razors has actually made my life better to live!
Wish you all a great Tuesday Gentlemen.

This razor was an eBay gamble, the photo looked like it was rusted and awful. But the seller claimed it was quite nice, so I took the chance. I have to say it was surprisingly fine for a pre-1890 razor, and hollow ground was a nice surprise as well.
I didn't get the coti finishing exactly as smooth as I wanted to, but I'll take care of that.Last edited by Blix; 09-27-2011 at 04:00 PM.

09-27-2011, 03:16 PM #140Razor: C.V. Heljestrad frameback
Brush: Jade ad brass handled boar
Soap: Arko shave stick
AS: Thayers Lavender and Clubman original
Result: Finally back online!I have free community wi-fi and it's been down for over a week now. Great shave today from the Helji. This has been out of the rotation for awhile waiting on me to give it a good touch up. And as they say, the best comes to those who wait. I completely forgot how wonderful this razor shaves. Barely needed a second pass at all. The Arko, as always, was simply delightful.
