SOTD Monday 17
Brush: Altesse, white badger (Model 72228)
Soap/Cream: TOBS, Rose + TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream
Strop: Herold Razor Strop (Model 9185)
Straight Razor: Bengall 7/16. Extra Hollow. Round point.
AS: Lotion Mennen, Grand Large
Cologne: 4711 Acqua de Colonia, Lavender & Thyme
Comments:
Great combination of TOBS creams. Lavender scent is stronger than Rose and his smell dominates Rose. But super lather and smooth.
Bengall is a good razor. Little but very hand able.
Have a nice day, gents
Angel.

No shave today. My eight year old niece is home sick from school with a double ear infection and I'm watching her. Even sick her energy dwarfs mine and requires my full attention. Great shaves today gents and look forward to seeing more throughout the day.

Razors: 6/8 J.M. Schmid & Son; Merkur Futur
Blade: Astra (9)
Brush: Altesse Badger
Soap: Omega (in black tub)
A/S: Aqua Velva
Menthol Monday! I love starting out my work week with a blast of menthol to wake me up and the Omega Soap and Aqua Velva do just that! Great shave with the JM Scmhid. I wish I knew more about this razor: on one side of the tang it says JM Schmid & Son Providence, RI; and on the other it says Made in England. The blade has a slight smile to it because the spine curves up just a little at the end. The blade was chipped near the heel when I got it and I was able to breadknife it out and re-set the bevel using the 220 and 1000 grit stones I have. Finished the edge with a PHIG and a barber hone (though it took forever). Now that I have the Dovo, this has become my second favorite razor! One of these days, I will attempt to polish the blade more because it's fairly tarnished, but it shaves well and it was cheap! Someday I'll post a picture.

Thanks man, and Yessir, you'd be most welcome
Used to do snowboarding myself, on a long super-G board, it was brilliant for carrying up mountains w snow shoes and ride down. Mind you, that was back in the day when I was young(er) and in shape (humm, come to think of it, round is a shape)

Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: Simpson Chubby 1 Razor: Mastro Livi 6/8 Strop: 40/60 Neil Miller Linen/English Bridle Soap: Ralph Lauren Safari Astrigent: Alum Block After shave: D.R. Harris Sandalwood Results: Another nice shave delivered by this Livi. She's a great razor, but got one tiny flaw, she's a little bit too light compared to what I prefer, but nothing i can't live with The combination of RL Safari and Harris Sandalwood is perfect for the rainy autumn weather we got here tonight.
