    Default Sunday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 1
    Razor: Revisor 6/8
Strop: 40/60 Neil Miller Linen/English Bridle
    Soap: Monsavon
    After shave: Floïd Blue
Results: My mother in law returned from a trip to Paris Thursday and she brought with her two tubs of Monsavon soap and a tube of Williams cream Gave the Monsavon a try today, not bad, not bad at all. Nice subtle scent, and pretty nice and slick lather, not quite as much cushion as I like, but that might as well be my fault. The Revisor is a magnificent shaver, I could probably get a nice shave of it with just water (not that I'm going to try) A very very nice DFS +, smooth and comfortable.

Lazy Sunday shave after not shaving for three days.

    Hot Shower, Stephan's, warm oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    Custom Badger
Nancy Boy Signature Series Shave Cream
A Barrett and son 63&64 Piccadilly, 6/8,full hollow
    Freshly honed, 1,4,8,12k, .15 Carat Diamond Spray,Crox paddle, 100 felt, 100 leather
    Razorock aluminum
    Stephan's Lilac A.S
    Vaseline for men.

I had not shaved for several days. I just got this razor so yesterday I ran it over the Norton Stones then the 12K Naniwa, and the .15 diamond, Crox and did the stropping. I was very surprised at how fast the edge starting popping hair. I was able to cut arm hair halfway up the hair shaft so I went to the rest of the progression. I was very happy with the shave today. Removed three days of growth, just gliding over the skin. After two passes I was very smooth but was enjoying myself so I did a third.

Watching the Jet game. Enjoy your day!!

    Default Robeson's Best really is.....

    .

Locale: The Highlands of Wheat Ridge, CO
Music: Aqua - needed a heavy beat today!! LOL
Prep: Hot Shower / Greek Olive Oil Soap / Oil of Olay Conditioner
Razor: I Honed a new razor today, a 13/16" Robeson - Robeson's Best Shoulderless Full Hollow
    Hones: King 800 / Norton 4/8k / PHIG / CrOx / New Star 3" 25/50
Brush: Custom Silvertip in Honey Locust / Massive Lather Bowl #1
Post: Cold Water Splash - Alum
Uber: Speik and TOBS Sandalwood - Excellent Lather
    AS: OBR Limes + Peppercorn
    Edt: OBR Original
Result: I had a honing session yesterday that yeilded up 1 good bevel out of 3. The Robeson took an edge right away and surprised me with an EXCELLENT close shave, even a ATG pass that was darn near perfect. One tiny nick, and hardly NO BURN, even in the face of OBR's stinging endorsement.

Monsavon is a good french savon. Very easy to find in France and in Andorra where I live and it's very cheap. I use it very often and I don't have problems with my SR. Give it another chance.

I will for sure, first impression I find it very nice, I was just missing a little bit cushion, but this is probably caused by me not getting the right product/water ratio at first try.

    Not mine.

I do however have a Devin Thomas Damascus blank that eventually will turn out to become mine. When, that's the million dollar question.
