The blade on this razor never ceases to amaze me. It's like a laser in it's ability to cut through the stubble. The two band Thäter was also great as was the QED Sandalwood and the balm.

    Great shave and hair trim.

    Prep: Hot Shower/Hot Towel
    Strop: Osgar Vintage Shell Horse
    Brush: Silvertip Badger in Cocobolo
    Soap: Col. Conk Bay Rum
    Razor: Gotta 120 11/16
    Astringent: Thayer's Witch Hazel
    Balm: C.O. Bigelow Mentha

This Gotta has been out of the rotation for around 6 months, but now its finally restored and I honed it up last night.
I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the edge I got on it. 2 passes and a couple of touch-ups and I'm BBS.
Its nice to have this old friend back in the arsenal.

Funny how taste changes over the years. I used not to be taken with Sandalwood but now I really like the stuff? My mother informs me we all have our own wee way of going mad!

    Morning gents.

    Prep: Hot Water Wash
    Razor: Boker Red Injun 102
    Brush: Omega Boar
    Soap: Speick Shavestick
    AS: Aloe Vera Gel
    Finish: Paul Sebastian (knock off)

Nice shave! I was good to go after one pass but did a second just for fun. The more I use this Speick, the more I like it. I may play with a few other shavesticks (i.e. Tabac, Irisch Moos, La Toja, etc.). Of course, I'm a big fan of Arko shavesticks as well. Have a great one fellas!

This one was so good, he asked if he could rewind and watch it again:
