I finally nailed honing as this razor gave me a smooth, easy shave. What a great find and in great shape, too! DR Harris has a wonderful soap there and the little boar just works. Manhattan Monday Prep: Hot Shower with Real Shaving Creamy Face Wash Lather: MWF Face Lather Brush: King Custom Bocote Handle with TGN Black Badger 22mm knot Strop: SRD 3" Black Latigo 50/100 Razor: Manhattan Cutlery "The Celebrated" 13/16 - Still with Black Micarta for now Hone: Norton 1k bevel with help from Maxi, 4k/8k Pyramid, Conservative Pyramid, 8k finish AS: Trumper's Spanish Leather ASB: Trumper's Unscented Comments: I had been having a tough time getting this bevel set, with the big smiling wedge and a bit of a twisted spine with uneven wear. Maxi managed to get me that last 10% of the bevel that was eluding me and I polished it up for my first shave with this razor. This thing is long! It was comfortable and smooth, though I think this black badger brush could use some conditioner, because it scrubbed me a bit raw!
