Post Week of November 27 SOTD - Wednesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 26mm Rudy Vey Custom w/ TGN Grade A Silvertip Badger + Kingwood handle
Razor: 7/8" Joe Chandler, 1/4 Hollow Ground, Barber's Notch (w/ Mexican Kingwood scales)
Strop: 15/65 laps (Tony Miller Heirloom Horsehide)
Soapreme: Trumper's "Sandalwood" Shave Creme + QED "Indian Sandalwood" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol)
After Shave/Cologne Splash: Floïd Italian Blue
    Skinfood: Trumper's Sandalwood Skinfood
Results: Took out the Joe Chandler for a ride today and what a ride it was. The lather was Sandalwood galore. Lovely in every respect. It felt good rubbing this stuff all over the face. It was so good that even if I didn't take blade to face, I would have considered this s successful exercise. But, I didn't do that and this JC delivered a very smooth and satisfying shave . 2 days growth wiped out like yesterday's news...You could even call this a "whisker genocide" and not feel bad. Off to the salt mines.

Have a TERRIFIC mid week gentlemen.

Shave of the day - First Straight Razor Shave in two years

    Dovo 6/8 Best Quality
EverReady brush w/ Golden Nib 22 mm badger
    Trumper's Coconut SC
    Thayer's
    Aqua Velva Blue
    Nivea ASB
    L'occitane Vetyver cologne

My razor arrived from Lynn yesterday and I jumped back in today. For the first shave in two years with a straight, I'm pretty happy - I missed a bit on my lip, and a I have a bit fo razor burn in the hollow under my jaw (non- dominant hand) but otehr than that - I'd give it 7/10, and I mut say I really enjoyed my shave today.

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Neep, coffee bean brush
    Razor: C V Heljestrand, frameback
    Cream: Muhle
    AS: Old Spice, Fresh Lime
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean

Ok, that was Mr Nick Senior telling me to not be in hurry, he told me with an almost 2 inches long and very thin nick. Nothing serious though, but a healthy reminder... Nice cream though, easy to use and very nice "cover", even though this frameback was used to harshly.

... and of course, with this brush, this mornings coffee:
