Friday day off from work shave

Dovo Best 6/8 (15 on webbing / 50 on leather)
    Badger brush
Palmolive stick (grated into a bowl)
    Thayer's
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS
    Nivea Balm
    L'Occitane Vetyver cologne

Not bad today - but I cut myself (1/4 inch long on my jaw) and nicked my strop - twice!! (stoopid bathroom shelf slipped...)

Oh well - chalk it up to noobishness(?) noobification? Was it noobism? I think I'll try to noobify less......

    Have a great day guys.

Keep at it, Barry! Strop slowly and you'll get better results. I have to constantly remind myself to slow down and make sure I'm getting it right, even after more than two months of straight shaving.

    Friday

    Merkur Futur
    Gillette SP (6)
    Omega Boar
    TSD Cool Water Type Soap
    Aqua Velva Ice Sport

Somewhat hurried shave, but the Gillette blade is still going strong! Near BBS in 3 passes. The AV Ice Sport has a scent that complements that of the soap rather nicely.

    Saturday

DE day. The Mühle R 89 in combination with the Astra blade, Proraso Pre shave cream and Body Shop Macca Root shave cream performed beautifully for three full passes. After which I rejuvenated my skin with Witch Hazel, Proraso Liquid Cream aftershave and Pinaud Clubman after shave.

As I shaved I listened to ‘The Tiger and Me’, a great Australian band.

Off to see Bailey this afternoon with all the family for his actual birthday party. It’s strange to say that ‘luckily’ his platelet levels were too low for treatment; otherwise he would have been in hospital (that’s been delayed ‘till Monday). I’m sure lots of ‘Nana made’ chocky cakes, buns and whatnot will get those platelet levels right up there!

Chances are I’ll get drunk today; I always do as soon as someone mentions the word ‘birthday’...

    Default Post Operative Shave

The last shave I had was on Monday and was not done by me or on my face. Whom ever did shave me should be glad I was anesthetized at the time since they did not do a complete job. The Surgeon did well, and I am very thankful for that. After laying around since Monday, it was good to get up and enjoy a nice shower and shave.

    Hot shower, Stephan's, warm oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    New Forest Badger
    Castle Forbes Lavender
    Filarmonica, DT 13
    SRD Paddle Strop
    RazoRock Aluminum
    Pinaud Clubman
    Vaseline for men

Today I really enjoyed my shave. Put the Fily on a 1K chosera, the 4K,8K,12K using Lynn's Progression. gave it a good strop and put it to work on the longest, thickest whisker growth I have had in several years. The Fily cleaned my face BBS on the first pass. Wonderful shave, so I gave it two more great passes leaving my CBS.

To all who sent me good wishes during the last several days I thank you from the very bottom of my heart.
