I've been a little soar the last couple of days (I should really rest a day or two from shaving, but it's such great fun ) and none of the AS:s I've used (even though the good ones) has been as nice to my skin as this vintage AS

Yeah, I know what you mean, last week when I shaved off my goatee I had to force myself to give it a rest for a day or two. I don't know why, but since I've started shaving with a straight I'm convinced when I stop shaving my growth is more even and it even grows faster than before when I used plastic thingies...

I have found Bay Rum to be very kind to the skin...

Torrey "Army" | Thäter 2-Band Bulb | TFS Bergamot Neroli + Jack Black | Thayers Lavender | Penhaligon's Sartorial

A tremendous shave with this Torrey. I started things off with my new Mykelburst Scrupleworks horween/linen strop. It had really nice draw and left the edge nice and clean. I can't wait to break this one in and truly get a sense of it, but I'm very pleased with the purchase! And I also went for my second use of the TFS. I really hit the sweet spot today with the TFS LE soap. Its scent is a bit sweet for my taste, but the lather really works well. Combined with the Jack Black in an überlather, I was provided a moist, protective lather that allowed the Torrey to dance lightly across my face. After two plus passes, I'm BBS and ready for motions day in federal court, after which I'm spending the day with my father who is in town for our traditional guys weekend at the Army-Navy football game. I wish you all a great weekend!
