    Default Christmas Eve

    Merry Christmas everyone.

I will be having the same shave today and tomorrow, partly due the fact that this s the only Rzor that I have with me and partly because this combination is just so good.

Prep: 2 hour run in Epping Forest, no idea how far, it was very muddy, so slow going, followed by a Cold hosing down, before my host (ex partner)
would allow me to enter her house.

    Strop: TI Paddle Strop, 30,70
    Brush: SRP edition Thater
    Cream: TOBS, Sandalwood
    Razor: Dovo, Master's
    AS: Cold water
    EDT: Trumpers, Eucris

I would like to wish all SRP members a Joyful and peaceful Christmas and urge Robert to show us the Razors.

Post Week of December 18 SOTD - Saturday

    Christmas Shave

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 26mm Thäter 2-band, Silvertip Badger

Strop: 0/65 laps (Ambrose Horsehide Clásico strop)
Soapreme: Cyril Salter "Wild Rose" Shave Creme + Trumper's "Rose" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol)

    After Shave Balm: Sabon
Results: The long wait is finally over guys. The staple in my collection has finally arrived and ready to be showcased. I scored this W&B from Max' site when he wasn't looking...I don't know, something told me to just go to his site and see what's up (since I hadn't frequented it for some time) and low and behold, there she was staring at me, taunting me. I had never heard of the Diamantine W&B before...Googling it certainly doesn't produce any information worth sinking your teeth into. This alone may be an indication of the rarity of this blade. And to push this to another level, to find it in this condition?! Holy Moly Batman...I must have done something right in this life (or other) !! My wife LOVED it too, which is always a BIG plus. She is dressed in beautiful grey horn (which Max rarely does these daysand ONLY on special blades...which was another indication of how special this blade may be). The whole thing was hand sanded and only (lightly) buffed to a mirror shine. An ABSOLUTE thing of beauty which was screaming to be part of my collection . And this is where English elegance meets German engineering; I used the Thäter to whip up a CS/Trumper "Rose" über, providing this razor a divine and luxurious lather onto which she could do what she was destined and designed to do...And she did it with utmost elegance and grace. I am literally more BBS than a baby's butt.

Here's not one, but two pictures of my latest beauty (probably the queen of my collection)

My wife and I wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas to remember.

That is a beautiful razor Robert! Are saying now that you have this in your collection, your RAD may be cured?

edit: Maybe this thread should be closed, I mean seriously, who wants to be second fiddle to that show?
