So SWMBO just called the house (I work from home) and informs me that she got a sitter and that we're going out this evening. Thus, I had better be BBS and smell good. Love that woman! I would have loved to punt the shave until this afternoon but I don't have time. So here's how it just played out:

Prep: Hot Shower + Proraso Pre/Post
    Scuttle: Dirty Biry 1.5
Brush: Thater SRP LE '11 (Fan)
    Suds: Prep + Glycerin
    Razor: Schulze 6/8
Post: Alum + Thayers WH w/Aloe
    ASB: Prep
    EdT: Armani Mania

Results: I saw the classic edge banner start popping up around the forum and me being week, ended up buying the NOS Schulze and the Prep products. Both defineatly delivered today. It was also so nice to NOT be using the Jack Black brush. The lather was wonderful! Only thing is that my son came home from day care this week and gave all of us his cold so I couldn't smell it. However based on the lathering capabilities I'm willing to assume the scent is more than acceptable at the least.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

    Friday

    Razor: Dovo Best Quality 6/8
    Brush: Omega boar
    Soap: Institut Karite
    Toner: witch hazel
    A/S: Old Spice

Silky-smooth BBS in three passes + touch-ups. The Old Spice was the perfect finish for this dreary day.

    Gentlemen,

The great Johannes Brahms said: "The best ideas come to me when I polish my shoes in the morning." In the past few years I have scored some of my best literary ideas while shaving in the morning. So you see, gentlemen, a traditional shave in the morning serves more than one purpose.

    Razor: Edwin Jagger lined Bulbous
    Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock yellow
    Brush: Semogue 620 boar
Soap: Savon du Barbe spiked with Plisson cream and five drops of glycerin
    Scuttle: Moss
    Lather bowl: Modified Ayars
    Alum
    Witch hazel
    Balm: Institute Karite
    Aftershave: Musgo Real Classic
Music: Piano Concerto No. 1 by Johaness Brahms
Finisher: Cafe Mit Schlag and Piano Concerto No. 2 by Brahms

It's Friday. May good fortune swim in your lane.

    Friday 2/17/12

    Prep-Hot Shower....Ahhhhhhh
    Brush-Thater 2 band on loan
    Cream-Cyril R Salter Sublime Citrus
Razor-C-MON Filarmonica 6/8 on loan from a friend
    Thayers Lavender WH
    St. Charles Shave Lavender AS
    Proraso pre/post

First time to use the cream, a Filarmonica and a thater. This shave was incredible. The razor was smooth as silk and the Cyril cream is just superb! The thater brush is amazing as well. Walked away feeling most gratified.

    Good shaving and God Bless!

Just because it's sharp, does not mean it's smooth.

PREP: Hot shower with Mr. GLO
    RAZOR: Merkur 38
    BLADE: Feather
    BRUSH: Simpson chubby 2 band
    CREAM: Fitjar " Sandalwood"
    ASTRINGENT: Razorock Alum stick
    ASB: Skinfood
    EDT: Sample of Encre Noir
    RESULTS:

I got a few creams that I had been wanting for awhile and the Fitjar is one of them. This cream is awesome. I felt like I loaded it perfect but I actually overloaded it ! I did 3 passes and had enough for 3 more easily. So a tiny bit goes a LONG way. Everything is here in this cream, the slickness the cushion, and the smell ( although it doesnt open up till u actually lather it. ) Also used the Alum stick today and it was a pleasant surprise.
    GREAT SHAVES TODAY GUYS!!!!
