    Renee and Carl,

That's not a gun. It's undoubtedly a pistol. As any U. S. Marine might say:

    "This is my pistol.
    This is my gun.
    My pistol's for shooting.
    My gun is for fun."

    Shave on gents!

Congratulations to your daughter! Darned right it does the heart good. (How you have to feel right now) It makes you really proud that you've succeded in sending her down the right path and that her determination and hard work paid off.

Ha! I KNEW I may be picked up on that! As an ex artillery man a gun is an artillery piece, everything else was always termed a weapon. I didn't want to use the negative connotation of weapon, as I'm sure eTom would never use it in anger, and never to kill mocking birds ('cause that's a sin).

Loved that bit in the move Full Metal Jacket, EXCELLENT movie!!!

    @ Carl:
A lot of years I used .45 ACP STI for IPSC and Combat-shooting competitions. Another weapon I favorize is the Glock 19.
And I love my Benelli Super 90 M1 and M3
