    Gentlemen:

A heavy wet snow fell overnight here in the province, turning Schloss Obie into a snapshot from a fairy tale. I have spent much of the early morning hours with a pot of Guatemala Halapu coffee, gazing out the window and listening to music. Which reminds of the saying . . . "A true music lover is one who on hearing a blond soprano singing in the bathtub puts his ear to the keyhole."

A great 3 pass shave today. Good way to honor my father's 2 year passing. Kind of blah today thinking about it all and the shave helped bring back good memories. Have a great safe day all.

    No Shave

    SOTD Friday 2/24/12

    Pre-Proraso Pre/Post & hot water towel

Razor-C-MON Filarmonica 6/8 Doble Temple Custom G10 scales
    Soap-Cella

    Ice Blue

What a shave this morning. The Fili is quite the gem, too bad it is on loan. the Cella was thick and rich as usual. My Beard on the other hand......I think I heard it whimpering as I stropped the Fili. For a larger razor I find this one suprisingly nimble. It devestaded my beard. What an amazing shave! I love starting my mornings in this fasion!

    Good Shaving and God Bless!

Razors: Goodfella (head), and Boker (face)
    Soap: VDH, and PGS Whiskey
    AS: Alum, And Scodoli Luadnum

Not a very comfortable shave today, I just finished up night shift and shaved with only 3 hrs sleep, nicked my ear twice (note to self get more sleep before shaving). Trying to get back on a normal persons schedule so I can enjoy my 6 days off.

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Frank shaving badger
    Soap: Proraso White Tea
    Scuttle: Robert Becker large
Razor: Fredrick Reynolds, 5/8 hollow spike point in zebrawood
    Honing: c12k
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Cedar spice home made splash
Notes: Today's shave left me pondering. Inspired by the ongoing C-Nat-Athon, I grabbed my stone and redid the edge from yesterday's razor. Just after my shave, I found it lacking, but writing up this text it is hard to pin-point my complaint. Was the shave comfortable? Sure, not the best, but not bad. Did the razor leave hair? No, 1 pass and touchup to BBS. Still there is something lacking. Not quite as sharp as yesterday's shave, but more than sharp enough. I guess it just does not exite me. Or perhaps I'm just a bit grumpy today, still being sick and all.
    Anyways, enjoy your weekend guys.
