    Hello James:

Yes, it is a lovely day. A lazy day. I spent all morning working on a documentary script and managed a paltry half a page, although a good one. Lazy day, as I said.

    Stay well, my dear friend.

Ah, thanks, my dear friend. Often my limit is one pass, as I don't want to push it. Then again, one pass is better than nothing.
    Stay well.

Prep: Hot Shower / Very Hot Water Soak /Shave Gel left on during shower / Extra Virgin Olive Oil Rub
    Razor: 6/8 Robeson "Robeson's Best"
Hones: 100 Clean Felt, 200 Leather
Brush: 24mm Silvertip in Honey Locust Hardwood
Uber: Taylor of old Bond Street Eton College & a touch of Speick & a touch of Sir Irisch Moos shave creams
AS: Alum Block + Pinaud Clubman
    Edc: Stetson
Result: This is a complete repeat of yesterdays shave with the exception of the pinaud and stetson. This blade is going to get a good complete workout before I use another one, first, to be certain it will actually improve with usage (not be quite so harsh, hoping the stropping and use will calm it down a bit), and second, cuz it shaves so darn good. I won't bore you all with the same picture again.

    TGIF!! Have a great weekend!

    Mike

    Saturday, DE Day

Perfect shave with the Mühle R 89 this morning. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I actually get a better shave with the DE and an Astra blade than with any of my straights. There is no way I can tackle every hair, especially those on my neck, in an ATG fashion, with the straight. Therefore, due to the manoeuvrability of the DE, the shave is more flawless than that of a straight for me. It’s not nicer, or cooler, it’s just that almost no hairs remain at all. The Arko shave stick was adequate; the Floïd was sublime as always…

Excellent photos this last week, guys, and excellent conversation…

    Razor: Mühle R 89
    Pre Shave: None
    Shave Stick: Arko
    After Shave: Floïd
