    All Old Spice Night....

    Razor: Puma "My Darling"
    Brush: 24mm Silvertip

The edge I just put on this razor is Sweet!! The first night out she was good, but not great. Another round on the CNat and a touch of Diamond and CrOx and now she'll split an atom!

    Thursday

The De Pews took two passes to do what my other razors do in one pass, but it was a nice two passes…

I think I’ve spoilt myself a little by sort of getting used to a very, very good one pass shave. I’ve always had (since I started SR shaving) nice, sharp razors, but it also takes skill to get a very, very good one pass shave. The De Pews is trying REALLLL hard to be the shepherd…

Yeah, I agree, we've obviously got a whole bunch of guys here who are in Adverting again. It's interesting how people come and go on this thread when you watch it each day. I sometimes look at these photos and imagine them as a huge poster in a shaving shop, or on a web page, they're really very enticing...

Ta. Yeah, I am getting the hang of it. Generally it's a lens flare or sparkle effect and upping the contrast and lowering the brightness. I take the photos in the afternoon on the dining room table, up against a piece of thin cardboard from the newsagent (white of black). A year ago I would have made fun of anyone using a digital, I was mainly using a 1950's German Rolleicord 6x6 Medium Format camera, mainly with Ilford 400ISO HP5 B&W film...

The lovely yellow early autumn light through the Adelaide hills at around 07:20 in the morning makes me want to get back to film photography, maybe with Velvia slide film....

    Thursday
Prep: Hot Shower/ Proraso pre-post creme
    Brush: Thater 4125-2
    Scuttle: G5
    Soap: Da Fat
Razor: Palmer #41 11/16" square point
Post: Proraso AS/ Nivea Lotion unscented
Result: BBS in 3 passes. My youngest son decided he did not have enough time to shave with a straight, so I inherited some nice stuff. On a good note, he bought a Futur DE and absolutely loves it. Used his strop an SRD Premium I, and it has a harder shell than my other strop and gives a razor that little bit extra finish that is fantastic. Another great shave, feeling like a king and getting ready for the weekend!
