    Good Monday!

    Hot shower
Musgo Real whipped with Col. Conk long-handle badger
W+B big boy (sorry, no pic today)
20 linen; 60 leather on the Illinois 127
    Lucky Tiger, Pinaud lilac vegetal

In contrast to the last three shaves, which didn't feel exceptional on the face but yielded BBS results, this one felt like butter but left me with some irritation, particularly ATG.

Have a great shave, and a great week!

P.S. First order of Mama Bear's soap is in transit...can't wait to try it!

Default SOTD 3/19: A Wonderful Shave

It is a rainy day here in Madison Wisconsin, a perfect morning for a nice hot shower and shave!

    Prep: Hot Shower, Face Scrub
    Bowl/Mug: VDH/Vintage Amole Shaving Mug
    Brush: VDH
    Cream/Soap: TOBS St. Jermyn/VDH
    Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89
    Blade: Astra
Post: Nivea for Men Aftershave Balm

I'm still plugging away with my straight razor, I did the whole right side with it, then touched it up and finished everything else off with the DE89. I'm just having trouble with some of the angles, they just feel so awkward. I'm sure with practice I'll get used to it!

All in all it was an awesome shave! I bought a smaple pack of DE blades so I'm trying out a bunch of different ones. Right now I'm pretty happy with the results I've been getting from the Astras, they seem sharper than the Derbys I was using.

Colt Defender CCW today. Real quick two pass DFS using the two soaps. Interesting mix but nice. The Red Imp lived up to her name and pulled one weeper. Been awhile since I have done that.
