Funny isn't it? I never thought I'd ever live in a different world than the one I grew up in but here I am. From what you describe, you'd never know we grew up in different countries. My summers lasted forever too. I spent them camping in the mangroves, drinking beer at the beach, canoe trips up this river or that (my brother and I once floated the Peace River clean up into Georgia). The Gulf of Mexico was a fixture in my childhood and I'd give everything I have for one more lazy hot summer spent bobbing in the tepid, green water and listening to Led Zeppelin, Lynrd Skynrd, Jackson Browne, Jimmy Buffett and Bob Marley. Indeed nowhere to go and all day to get there, not one bill to worry about and not a care in the world, those were indeed the days. If it wasn't fun, we just didn't bother. Come home from the beach, shower, eat, re-beer and fish all night. Sleep late the next day and do it all over again.

Congrats on the 2K posts Grant. I must say that I've been waiting quite a while for you to start making blades. Your keen eye for detail and radical design will lend to some truly amazing creations.

I was craving my fatboy today...dunno why, cant tell you the last time he popped over to play a full game, but today was his.

Received a bunch of pinaud products today. Lilac Vegetal, Private Reserve, Lime Sec and Citrus musk. Already have the original so all I am missing is the bay rum I believe. Anyway since I accidentally squirted the Lilac in my nose while sniffing it, I decided that would be my scent this evening.

    Set up
    Hot shower (really hot)
    Cella
    Semogue 1305
    Gillette Fatboy 1958 (D4)
    Astra Platinum
    Alum
    Pinaud Lilac Vegetal

So I took the 1305 for a spin on the old Cella tonight. Seriously guys I can not figure out why more online stores dont sell these, for that matter I cant figure out why more people aren't using them! It was a touch on the smelly side, but no more than my last super badger! it washed out in seconds, where as my Omega 48 still stinks of pig when wet (roughly 50 uses plus random shampoo's later). The lather was some of the best Cella lather I have ever had. No added glycerin no added creams, just pure Cella. The shave was fantastic! Not C-Mon, Schulze or TI fantastic, but every bit as good as most of my other blades. I kept the Fatboy dialed to 9 the entire shave. A couple of weepers but no irritation or nicks. The Lilac left me feeling and smelling pretty. Tonight was a good night Gentlemen! I hope all of your shaves were as good, if not better!!

    Till tomorrow my brothers!
