    Yep and it was a very nice and humbling shaving experience - if you're the slightest to heavy handed, it gets to close and takes of a piece of your hard earned skin

    Why not a kamisori?

    They really are a lot of fun. I've yet to get a western blade as scary sharp as I can get my kamisori, though that is likely down to my technique. They can bite you very easily, but if you respect them, they give really nice shaves. It's almost like you don't touch your face, but you pass the blade near the face and the whiskers jump to their death rather than face the terror of the kami edge!
