New blade, found this one in either never used or nearly ever used nick. I reads "Warranted Swedish Fabrication 5 years warranty" on the blade and I was dreaming about setting bevels on soft Sheffield wedges while I was honing this one (and that's the second razor in a short while that has been very stubborn)
Very nice picture, but no espresso today?

    Dancin' with Who Brung Me:

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Razor: Gem Micromatic Open Comb
    Brush: VDH Boar\
    Soap: L'Occitane Cade
AS: Alum Block, Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Finish: Aqua Velva Musk

Remarks: This razor could very easily be called the founder of the feast. This was the first, real razor, I ever bought and used. Needless to say my habit steadily expanded to other SE and DE razors and eventually to straights. Every once in a while I like to dance with who brung me and for good reason, 3 passes with this thing and I'm BBS.

    Cool Thursday Morning K.I.S.S. shave

Every now and then I have to take a step back and experience shaves from a different perspective, this morning was one of those days...

I also learned something about my Pops that I guess a never realized until today I remember back about 45-50 years ago waking up in the morning to the Click-Clickity-Click of my Father making lather in his shave mug (Standard Issue USAF coffee cup).. He normally used either Old Spice, or Williams shave soap and and for years I wondered why he always tossed in a new puck before the old one was used up.. I might have asked him but I sure never realized why until this morning.. See I retired my old "Glen" coffee cup because of a small crack at the rim, and decided to use it as a Wlliams only shave mug, so this morning I set up for a "Simple" shave using Williams, a Burma shave brush, a Fritz Bracht era Dovo #25, and Original Aqua Velva... As I made up some lather I was hearing the Clicking from the brush, and I realized my fingers were way down inside the mug as it was a coffee mug and not a short sided shaving mug, and it dawned me,,, Pops was pretty smart, he always had two pucks of soap in there it kept his fingers out of the coffee mug .. I just added a second puck this afternoon

Cheers DF! Yeah, well, I had a mega cup of cappu (two double shots of espresso) and I couldn't take a photo since the cup was to close to the metal espresso pipes

Brush: Penoftheforest silvertip x-tra stuffed in Masur Birch handle
    Razor: Edv. Neiström no 2
    Soap: MdC
    AS//edt: Paco Rabanne, Ultraviolet
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean

So, I thought I was going to try and do a speedy shave today and see how much time you can save, without being sloppy. Was not worth the two minutes you save though, I think, I got a good shave but felt a little raw after. Excellent blade though, fantastic edge and right up there with the best shavers in my collection

... and some lovely coffee :
