I've played chess since I was four years old.
A while back, I visited The British Museum in the lovely city of London.
I found this copy of the Lewis Chess set.Last edited by Otto; 06-08-2012 at 08:16 AM.

Friday, June 8 Prep: Insanity, week 2 day 5 + hot shower Strop: SRD 3" premium fabric x 75, red latigo x 150 Razor: Hart Steel 7/8 in Rosewood Brush: Thater 4292/4B Uber: MWF + Musgo + glycerin Post: Alum + OS Classic Result: DFS
I haven't used the Hart in forever and a day. It was nice to see her again. Excessive stropping because it had been so long.
No hobby to post today, but it is kind of fitting. The wife and I submitted the final documents for our adoption home study, one of the last barriers before we'll be approved to adopt a child. Given that fact, I'm betting I'll have less time for my other hobbies outside of shaving, cigars, and guns.
A fantastic week, gents. Enjoy the weekend!

For yesterday 6/7/12. No pics
Stephan preshave
Tony Miller Steerhide
Proraso Red Original Formula
Emperor 2 band brush-face lather for first pass, SRD shave bowl for second pass
Fillarmonica #13 from mvcrash
Thayers Aftershave (the actual AS in the small bottle)
Two passes. Very smooth ALL day.
Thanks to mvcrash for offering me this razor from his collection. With the prices on these he could have made some dough on it, but I'm really happy that he decided to give it to me at the "friend price" instead. It's a beautiful razor and a fine shaver and I look forward to having it in my rotation for a long time.
And my hobby is Gardening

Thanked: 13249Friday Morning Goto Town shave :)
So this morning I figured I had the time to really have a great shave, so I went Kamisori
I am not sure what the Kanji says, something like "finest shave" or some such
Started with the last of my Devon & Spencer Spice shave cream in the Georgetown scuttle whipped with a Col. Conk 20mm Pure Badger my first Badger brush
The Razor as noted is a Japanese Kamisori
Strop: 20/40 King Pelican
Aftershave: Superior 70 Mentholated Bay Rum
Shave was OUTSTANDING
"The Hobby" if you can call it that after 41 years is Martial Arts, Kempo (Godan) and JuJitsu (Sandan), mostly now I just do seminars for Ladies "Street" Defense (it is not PC to call it Rape Defense any longer) and for some of the Law Enforcement Dept's up here...Last edited by gssixgun; 06-09-2012 at 12:19 AM.

Razor: Thomas Dewsnap
Brush: Rudy Vey
Soap: Martin de Candre
AS: Nancy Boy
I don't often like Sheffield steel, but for a Dewsnap I'll make an exception. I was left so smooth I felt sticky, no cuts.
No hobby photo, it's implied that I was shaving for a gig. I take everything very seriously, I don't see anything I do as a hobby. But that's semantics. Have a great weekend.
