Thanked: 485Saturday morning
Incredible shave with the DE this morning. But it wasn’t the DE or the blade that made it an incredible shave; it was the soap and especially the aftershave. My Madame Scodioli ‘Boheme’ soap, ‘Step Right Up’ aftershave and T shirt arrived last night. I did what I do when ever I get a new cream or soap; I used it as soap in the shower and used it to wash my hair. I know that’s weird, but it allows me to ‘get to know them’ and really appreciate the scent.
The ‘Boheme’ soap is excellent, but for the first use I’m still getting used to how much water it likes; I think it likes a lot. The scent is a sweet vanilla scent. The puck is probably double the size of the Edwin Jagger puck and half the price. As someone who normally uses creams, I like the two soaps I’ve got lately (the Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn and this one). I think once I get used to this soap it’ll be a firm favourite.
The aftershave is something else again. It’s just downright mind blowing. I’ve never had an aftershave that felt like this. It has no alcohol but has aloe vera, glycerine and essential oils, as well as rose water, witch hazel and aluminium magnesium and fragrance. The fragrance is sweet, with a hint of tobacco. I’m no scent expert, so I won’t try and describe the ‘notes’, but this is incredible. Apparently the scent is cedar, saffron and vetyver.
Thanks for the great week of photos and conversation, guys.

Just ordered the Hierophant Soap and Step Right Up Cologne. Not bad penny wise and pretty interesting marketing gimmick. I think I saw fonthunter using the cologne for a SOTD which got my interest initially. Cannot wait to use it.
