    Today's Shave:

Prep: Warm Shower and Jojoba Oil
    Soap: PDP
    Brush: Semogue 830
    Razor: TI Evidé Sonnant 6/8
    Toner: Thayer's WH
Post: Skincado Balm and Pinaud Clubman

The shave started off on a sour note, nothing was 'vibing' for me. I finished out the first pass and knew I had to go for another one to even get close to a decent shave. The PDP was not performing too well. At least I will blame it on the soap. So what I did was leave the brush soaking wet. I mean I did not even shake it out. I commenced to load it and it bubbled up nicely. I face lathered and finally got a decent lather, not great but decent. The second pass went better but decided to risk irritation. I went for the third pass. I have not done this in awhile. My face cannot really take it or so I thought. Today I managed to do three passes with minimum irritation. After cleaning up, I touched up a few rough spots around my neck, rubbed some balm on and splashed on some Pinaud. I recently got into Pinaud. I know it is probably bad for your skin but oh well. It just feels right. Have a good day all.

    Cool More Experimentation

Tried out a Gem MicroMatic this morning, I have been doing some experimentation with a few DE's and SE's lately, because I have a couple of Seminars I have been invited to speak at this Summer on "Wetshaving"... I figured it would be good if I could at least speak with a bit of experience on the other razors besides Straight razors

I used the GEM Blue SE blades for the shave, I can see why people say these are pretty aggressive shavers, they are the closest thing I have tried to a Straight Razor so far..

Very nice shave this morning, very nice indeed......

Just now getting around to posting this mornings shave as today was my first day of work since being laid off from my last job over a year and a half ago. The Heljestrand was a perfect choice for the shave and the T&H Sandalwood was spectacular(though I'm still not a huge fan of sandalwood scents). Was able to get catfish belly smooth in two passes.

I have two shaves to report today.

    First off:

    Sunday Afternoon Kamisori

    Nagamasa Kamisori
    Semogue SOC
    SRD Premium IV
    MWF
    Trumper's Spanish Leather
    Trumper's Fragrance Free

This was really enjoyable. I just wrapped the handle on this kamisori and it makes a big difference. This razor is "scary sharp" and you can barely feel it wiping the whiskers off your face, but be careful, it bites!

    Thursday Morning

    DOVO Ironwood
    Bryce C Ironwood Silvertip
    SRD Premium IV
    T&H Sandalwood Cream
    T&H Sandalwood Balm

I am working on maximizing my edges at each grit, so this one is off a Norton 4k with a bit of time on CROX then web and leather. The edge did really well, though I would probably touch it up a bit more on the 4k before my next shave. Have a wonderful evening, SOTD Brothers!

Finally had the time to have a nice post work shave and this razor was long overdue for a run! GREAT SHAVE. 3 passes and two days of growth wilted under the mighty 11/8th!!!!! The Creed is a new one I'm trying out so why not, even though I'm going to bed soon? Went on a binge today and added a "few" new scents and soaps.... Opps. 5 Tom Fords, and 4 Creed's(oh and somehow obtained the Creed GIT Soap so that will be in the rotation soon).
Can't take it with ya so might as well live a little....

    Paul
