Thumbs up Sun July 01st - Sat July 07th

    Location: 36° 0'5"N - 115° 15' 21"W
    Razor: The Baltic Cutlery
    Brush: SRP LE 2011
Cream: French Vetiver - Cyril L Salter
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
    AS: Vetiver Carven
    EDT: Vetiver Carven

Vetiver, vetiver, vetiver,.. That's the master scent all divided between the sublime Cyril R Salter vetiver shaving cream, vetiver de carven AS and EDT.
I can never get enough of vetiver. It never disappoints, always performs and leaves me behind with a smile on my face.
Today's shave was such a moment.

Gents, the new month of July embraces us.

Wishing everyone a great new week!

    Good day gentlemen.
Not too many whiskers from the previous days shave. The Iwasaki provides a quick follow up shave with no irritation. No moving parts required. Have a nice day. Stay cool.

First shave with a custom, and it was a joy. Great weight and balance to this razor. A great evening shave, since month two of Insanity gives me little time to shave in the morning.

Happy hump day, Happy July 4th! God bless the SOTD, and God bless the USA

    SOTD
    Prep: Warm Water Splash
    Pre-shave: Castle Forbes
Razor: AOS DOVO Cocobolo 5/8 (Forestal?)
    Brush: Semoque
    Cream: CO Bigelow
    Post: Cold Water Splash
Toner: Thayer's WH with Tea Tree EO
    ASB: Skincado Combat Ready Balm

Man, what a good shave after a let down earlier. I was working on some new scales and I screwed 'em up at the last second. I was trying to get the pins straight and ended up cracking the scales. Oh well, the shave made up for the partial depressed state I was left in. I used a very neglected razor. The AOS Dovo was the first razor I purchased in January of this year. I gave up on it after I got a TI. I never really liked it to be honest with you. But today it provided a decent shave.

    No pic today, but:

    Razor: Weishi 9306
    Blade: Crystal / Israeli Personna
    Prep: Bald Frog Eucalyptus Balm
    Brush: VDH boar
    Soap: Bald Frog Arabian Hooka
    A/S: Nivea for Men Balm
    Result: A great shave

I hadn't set out to buy another Chinese DE, but added one for free on Amazon the other day ($5 more merchandise to get $5 worth of free shipping), so I'll soon have a Concord as well. The Weishi has provided a nice, mild shave so far, so hopefully the Concord will, too (I think it's a Tech copy). I like to use a mild DE when I'm hurring in the morning or as an alternative to a two-pass shave on work mornings when there isn't much growth yet from a prior day's shave. Both were the case today.
