Since I'm not a celeb, I'll probably just stick with names that are universal between Slavic/Anglo/Latino cultures, but this should tell you how much I like this abrasive powder. Might be something you'd wanna check out AFTER you really develop your honing skills on the Swaty and test your whole rotation a few times around. Heard great things about those stones and that will probably be my next experiment.

It is pretty sweet, isn't it. Exposure to CO makes you intolerant of anything short of perfect. I find that I have to refresh more often with that kind of edge on them, but a couple of whacks on the paddle is a small price to pay for that steel squeegee effect.

Ilija, I can't believe you want me to postpone the oxide for more than a year (possibly 2, as I lately shave only once every 5-7 days, and my rotation is not that small... unless I sell something, which I guess I should)

    Cheers

It's all about the learning experience even if it takes a bit of time. The main quality of a straight-edge shaver is his patience. Or you could step up the tempo of your shaving

    Hot Towel
    Vulfix 2234
    Mamabear's Masculine Musk soap
    Fritz Bracht Dovo Inox 6/8
    Alum block
    Pinaud Bay Rum A/S

First shave with this NOS razor, I loved the stiffness of the blade and the quality of the edge I was able to get on it. Lots of faceturbation going on today.

    Wed:

    Rooney small style 1
    T&H LSS
    Hand American strop
    7/8 W&B frameback
    Harris face milk

Why do ugly razors shave so well? Because they have to.

Every time I use this razor I'm reminded how great it is. I think it keeps getting shoved out of the rotation because it's not particularly pretty, but dayum does it shave like nobody's business.
