Then you can discover the cold water shave. Once you do that you'll never go back to hot.

    MONDAY
    Hot shower prep
    Razor: Unknown German maker ~1900
    Soap: C.O.Bigelow
    Mug: Ceramic
    Brush: 18mm generic mixed badger
    Splash: Pinaud "CLUBMAN"

This razor is to become a wall hanger! It was warped along the edge and took a lot of work to get to a straight edge..At that, it doesn't want to hone to fine edge. Ok shave but not to be repeated! The rest of the applicants did well for me!

The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

I have one like that. It was a somewhat pretty, but sterile-looking (no etch, or tang stamp other than "Germany") bone handled square point. It looked really nice and polished up very well...but the small warp in the blade makes for a viscous spike tip.

I have an unused wall hanging display case I may pull out and put to use...Good idea

It is not cold here and my hot water heater is natural gas. Worst case, I use a DE and heat the water on the stove.

I am about 60 miles from you, if your house blows down you're welcome here. I have enough razors, shave cream, strops and hones to last at least a week!!

Well, I was without hot water for a few months when I was a young student in Norway.
    This was during the winter.
I'll never go back to cold showers and shaves. At least not while I'm living in Norway.
