    Monday

LONG trip to work and back today as I has to drop the wife off at her work first (her car is cactus). About 140 ks round trip. Probably not that long compared to what some of you do. A warm day today, 31 degrees and hotter tomorrow… It’s going to be a hot summer.

The shave was with the W&B; I’ve re-arranged my razors into my little 7 piece set.

    The new order is:

Sunday: Klas Törnblom, (‘cause it really is the nicest, and Sundays you should always use the nicest of everything)
Monday: Wade and Butcher Special (for the smoothness)
Tuesday: Jernbolaget frameback (for the sharp edge)
Wednesday: J A Hellberg (because after the Jernbolaget I don’t need a razor with a heel)
Thursday: De Pews (no reason, just fits)
Friday: J A Hellberg frameback (because Friday needs a nice razor just in case I ever decide to actually go OUT on a Friday night)
Saturday: Burrell Top Flight (Because Saturday is just old fashioned 50’s style mow the lawns until you’re burnt and sweating, then shower, shave, apply large amounts of old fashioned smelling aftershave and drink beer wearing a white Bonds singlet while reading the paper in the garden)

I hope my mates in America are safe during that storm headed your way. Great razors so far this week, and check out Unit! What a cool looking dude!

Razor: Wade and Butcher | Cream: O Melhor | After Shave: D R Harris Bay Rum | Hair Tonic: Massive amounts of Pashana

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Razor: C.V. Heljestrand Mk4
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap: Tabac Shavestick
    AS: Skin Bracer
Finish: Murray and Lanman's Florida Water
After two straight days fiddling around with a sub-par edge on a razor. I thought I'd treat myself and so it went. Definitely not one doubt about the edge on this razor and a BBS shave was definitely had. No doubt the best part of Monday. The weekends feel like they're 10 minutes long these days. It's 56 damn degrees outside. Far too cold to be out of the house. Too bad I didn't get a weather day today.

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: The Hive
    Razor: F W Söderén
    Soap: Provence Santé
    AS: Lavanda
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean

Ahh, lovely shave and lovely blade. Rather unusual blade design for a Swede, but this company used to be on the "wild" side when it came to blade design, for a Swedish company. I really like a smiling edge, dreadnoughtish and the shoulder less form and with 6/8 at the widest it's nice size too (+ it took a really nice and sharp edge).

Hurricane Sandy is approaching so I did a Pre-Storm shave predicting we'll loose power here for several days. I took a long hot shower and shaved while showering which I always find enjoyable.

Hot shower,Stephan's rubbed into the whiskers
    Cade Soap
    Boar Brush
    1959 Fatboy Wilkinson blade
    Pinaud Bay Rum

To all those in harms way, stay safe and be careful.

I agree. So underrated. Been saying this for years. Beats them all out of the water. There aren't that many floating around on the market as opposed to e.g. the Filarmonica. So less to brag about
Yours is the Disco version on top of it
