Shave prep Morning shave, so a hot shower
    Brush: D.R. Harris
    Preshave: Proraso Pre
    Soap: Martin de Candre
    Scuttle: Simple soup bowl
    Razor: Wade & Butcher 6/8 - 1/4 Hollow
Strop: Kanayama 20 canvas strokes and 80+ strokes on the leather
After Shave Splash: Nivea aftershave Balm

    Notes:

    Choices, choices …
I have two Wade & Butchers, and the 6/8 - 1/4 Hollow (regrind and blue Paua scales by Max) was next in my rotation.

The blade is somewhat shorter than most and makes it nimble handling cutter.
The ‘soft’ Sheffield steel on your skin is always a treat and today’s shave was no different!
Still amazed by the fact that face skin is able to feel the different steel qualities.

Not sure if our good Lord designed our face with that in mind.
But is works that way nonetheless !

    Paul

(B.t.w. the blemishes on photo on the 7/8 in the back and on the shoulder of the mentioned 6/8 in the front are only light reflecions, thank God)

    Pre - Alum block
Strop - 3 inch bridle leather with hard felt
Brush - SOC 2 band badger
    Razor - 4/8 Malteser
    Scuttle - Robert Becker
Soap - Vitos RED + Palmolive cream with 3 drops glycerin and 1 drop lanolin
Post - Alum block followed by Thayers witch hazel

I started straight shaving with two 4/8 blades, this being one of them. I have not used them in a long time because I was getting better results with larger blades like the 6/8 variety. The Malteser surprised the me at how well it now shaves. Maybe it is just that I have improved enough to be able to use a small light blade now. Anyhow, good shave so she stays.

No shave today for this turkey:

He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.
