A belated post. Nevermind the "razor". I was on a two day business trip to Vienna and wanted to carry only hand luggage. The shave was without emotion and quick.

The first time I have used this vintage razor. If anyone can shed any light on its origins....it would be much appreciated . The engraving says Moershfelder Buffalo. I have been unable to find anything online. The razor was supplied 'shave ready'.....and though I had a good
shave.....I think it needs just a little more work. This may be the first non GD razor I take to the stone!

Strop - 3 inch bridle leather with hard felt
Brush - SOC 2 band badger
Razor - Crown and Castle "The Silver Star"
Soap - Cella+Cremo cream with 6 drops glycerin and 1 drop lanolin
Scuttle - Robert Becker
Post - Alum block followed by Thayers witch hazel
Another good shave and good start to the day. Starting to wonder if doing an uber lather with a scuttle is worth the effort after face lathering the last few days. Maybe not, eh. Have a good one.
