    SUNDAY

    Hot shower prep
Soap: Vintage Williams ,a little chip
    Mug: Austrian 1920’s
    Brush: 24mm home made
Application of steamy hot towels over lather
    Razor: 6/8ths Solingen
    Aftershock: Alum block
    Splash: Home brewed Bay Rum

Today I awoke to a dreary day of leaden skies and a foretaste of worse to come.
So....What better morn to pamper myself with the best shave I could? All the players worked well together and I now have a polished phiz and stink pretty!

The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

To use a scuttle fill the bottom with hot water and soak your brush in it. Place a chip of soap in the top bowl and use your brush to lather it. The drain holes of the top bowl let excess water through and you end up with a lather that is close to perfect.

Hey Tom (Sharptonn) looks like you just hit the 3K post mark.
    Congratulations on your achievement.
Normally at the 3K mark you are given a solid gold Rolex. But none are currently in stock. Instead we are sending you a busted Timex with a dodgy rubber strap.
Sorry for any inconvenience and congrats. once again.

Why Thank You, Tarkus! You are most kind! I suppose most of my gibberish posts should not count, though!

    Pre - Alum block
    Brush - Semogue 1350 Boar
Strop - 3 inch bridle leather with hard felt
    Razor - Wostie Peerless 5/8
    Scuttle - Robert Becker
Soap - Vitos Red+TBS Macca Root with 3 drops glycerin and 1 drop lanolin
Post - Alum block followed by Thayers witch hazel

What a great soap/brush combination producing tons of rich creamy lather. My wife kept the razor when my father in-law passed and allows me to use it. He was a nice man and I feel privileged to be trusted to use it. All in all a good shave. Hope your shave is even better.
