Thanked: 3228Pre - Alum block
Soap - Arko shave stick
Brush - Vintage Culmak "Senior"
Razor - Rolls Razor
Post - Alum block followed by Thayers witch hazel
Dusted off the old adze and took her for a spin. The sales slip says she was sold on 30 Dec. 1933 by T Eaton Co. for the princely sum of $6.50. Matched with the vintage Culmak, with sticker price of $1.75 still on it, and Arko face lathered she still gives a super shave. Well worth finding a good one as they are dirt cheap today for what they and fairly unique too. Have a great day.

Grant,
this tool is also a very useful tool. Congrats!
We just came back from the Leipzig-fair:
Touristik & Caravaning International 2012
We got a lot of inspiration for the next years...
Especially Iceland-tours we like. You can drive your own car (Jeep) to the ferry in Denmark. With the Jeep at the ferry to Iceland. Roundtrip through Iceland and back.
We decided to do such a trip in 2014. I think the Jeep will enjoy it.
No shave today, but I'll get a shave in the evening maybe.Last edited by eTom; 11-25-2012 at 03:40 PM.

Hot shower prep
Soap: Vintage Williams ,a little chip

Razor: 6/8ths Solingen
Aftershock: Alum block

Today I awoke to a dreary day of leaden skies and a foretaste of worse to come.
So....What better morn to pamper myself with the best shave I could? All the players worked well together and I now have a polished phiz and stink pretty!
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!
~Richard
To use a scuttle fill the bottom with hot water and soak your brush in it. Place a chip of soap in the top bowl and use your brush to lather it. The drain holes of the top bowl let excess water through and you end up with a lather that is close to perfect.
