Well I got a puck of Williams at the grocer today. I think that might be working its way into SOTD soon. I know people have mixed feelings on the soap but I feel like I should try it. An experience is an experience.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

Nothing wrong with that! Bring it on. I uber most of my soaps with Williams and a few drops of glycerine. Love the stuff. My grocer quit handling it. A bummer as I always bought all of it!

Right now I am letting it soak in water. It was hard as a rock.... Thinking a little softening before I use it the first time.

Neh, toss it in the mug and put some hot water in on it for a couple minutes. Toss the water out and lather up, adding some water by dipping the brush a few times til it's right. Swish it good.
3 or 4 drops of Glycerine makes it pop tremendously and glide better too!

Did a small test swirl to see how hard it might be. It lathered up pretty well with my boar. Only the shave will tell. Either Wednesday or the weekend.

    Monday

Well, a new start to the working week after a busy weekend was heralded with a W&B shave. My body is still recovering from three hours of indoor bouldering (rock climbing) on Saturday. Talk about functional exercise. Talk about ‘whole body workout’, this has it all.

It was a great shave around my newly trimmed moustache, soul patch and goatee thingy. I decided to shorten the moustache ends; the Johnny Depp look wasn’t really working out; one end curled and the other didn’t, so now it’s more Edwardian gentleman/French impressionist painter. Or maybe in reality just some guy from Mount Torrens...

The Body Shop Macca Root cream ‘dissipated’ for some reason. This has been occurring with me a lot lately. I wonder why? Too much water? Not enough cream?
