I have this one which belonged to my Grandfather but I've never used it. You've inspired my to give it a try.

    Pre - Alum block
Strop - 3 inch bridle leather with hard felt
Razor - DD Special No. 1
Brush - SOC 2 band badger
    Soap - Cella
Post - Alum block followed by Thayers witch hazel

The shaves don't get much better than this one for me. The bland little DD Special just does the job. That's not to mention the SOC 2 band badger giving great support by providing mountains of wonderful Cella lather face lathering. Hope your chosen combo does as well for you today.

Shave prep Morning shave, so a hot shower
    Brush: D.R. Harris
    Preshave: Proraso Pre
    Soap: Martin de Candre
    Scuttle: Simple soup bowl
Razor: Wade & Butcher 7/8 by Max Sprecher
Strop: Kanayama 20 canvas strokes and 60+ strokes on the leather
After Shave Splash: Nivea aftershave Balm

    Notes:
Objective for today: quick BUT clean !
No weepers, no cuts, and no leftovers. Simply said: no messing about.

Made the W&B 7/8 do the job. This blade feels so solid, not strange since it’s a 1/8 hollow, and also because of the amazingly finished M3 Mokume Gane Titanium scales by Max.
I am so please with this piece, it’s my top favorite. I kinda like to save it for those special shaves, you know, the ones that you need to be special.

Succeeded in all of the above.
