    Thursday

    Razor | Burrell Top Flight ‘No.1’ | Cream | C O Bigalow| After Shave | Tabac

Very nice and noisy shave with the Burrell this morning

“I love the sound of a full hollow in the morning, it sounds like….victory”.

The C O Bigalow cream felt like victory and the lunch time workout felt like victory. I felt very strong and added 10 kilos to the bench press and added TWENTY kilos to the pull down. I haven’t done pulldowns for a while; I’ve been concentrating on chin ups. I really think the normal body weight chin up, with varying grips ALL the way up (chin over the bar) and ALL the way down is probably the best back exercise.

The light in the sky as I drove home was incredible.

    Default Thursday

Had a really good one today. Here's my recipe:

    Kent T4
Martin de Candre (original) in wooden bowl
    Filly 13 DT, white scales
Roger & Gallet L'Homme ASB - used in small quantities this is great on my face!

    Prep: Shower
    Brush: Semogue
Razor: Mappin & Webb 11/16" near wedge
    Cream: TOBS Jermyn Street
    Astringent: Osma Alum
    Aftershave: TOBS No.74 Victorian Lime
Eau de Toilette: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet

Notes: Another close, smooth and almost irritation-free shave. A bit too much pressure trying to get those pesky whiskers under my jawline.

An amazing shave today. I recently acquired what I have considered for a while to be one of my "grail" razors. It did not disappoint:

Joe Chandler Wootz 7/8 | DR Harris Arlington | Simpsons Manchurian Rover | Pen's Blenheim Bouquet

Really love this razor, it is extra hollow and gives great feedback and a smooth shave every time! Coupled with the refreshing Lime soap and I am off to face the world!

Great news Bill! It's always a special feeling when you get something you have wanted for a while and it meets your expectations. So many times we tend to glorify things so much that it ends of being a letdown. Congrats!

    doubleplusverymuch like.

When was that made? Love the shape, esp the really narrow tang. Great grey colour on the steel.
