    Monday

    Razor | J A Hellberg frameback | Superlather | Mike’s natural Pine and Cedarwood/Musgo Real Orange Amber |
After Shave | Ach Brito Lavanda Eau de Cologne

So, the shave was really nice. This razor ‘suffered’ 40 laps on the Shapton 16k at my hand a few days ago; normally I only do a 20 lap touch up on the Shapton 16k for the Swedish razors (10 on the others) but I went all out this time and it shows. Problem is, it’s now scary sharp but lacks some smoothness. There’s just something about the edge I don’t like. Suggestions on how to smooth it out would be helpful (I have no paste; maybe additional stropping?).

The morning was endured in silence; the trip to work was uneventful, Alice in Chains was the music (Jar of Flies album) along with the recent political news. The day in the office was annoying and boring; I am K in Franz Kafka’s The Trial, an alien in my own society.

The weekend, though, was busy, with tea at my son’s on Friday night (I got a bit drunk), tea at my daughter’s on Saturday night (I got a bit drunk) and lunch at the In Law’s on Sunday (I got a bit drunk). Now I have a bit of a funny tummy-wummy, and a dull and drooping disposition…

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

That's just me. I look in the mirror and I see: Patination is my friend.

If you don't have any paste, I think stropping will smooth it out. It usually takes about 3 or four shaves before it will 'settle' in though.

Yeah, was thinking that. I think I'll use the Miller linen and English bridal. Normally my edges don't get scary sharp so it's not something I have to worry about
