I am so happy the olive oil made another convert! I am very glad it worked for you both as a pre-shave as well as an enrichment for your lather. To me using olive oil as a pre-shave, as well as a post-shave treatment is a procedure I cannot miss. This is what people in Umbria (the region where I live in, central Italy) used for shaving, although I guess this was also common in other parts of Italy. This is however what my grandfather taught me and it works.
You should also try it as a post-shave and before applying your favorite after shave; you will notice a difference in terms of smoothness, moreover olive oil is rich in skin nutrients.
One more advice: I see in your picture you used a "simple" olive oil; I suggest you should try extra-virgin olive oil, which is a far better product than "common" olive oil. I am not going into the technical differences between the two (saved the case you gentlemen are interested in that, I can of course explain the differences and quality of olive oil production) but, to put it simple, "olive oil" is a lower quality product, if not of disputable quality, than the truly noble extra-virgin olive oil. This is particularly true when you use olive oil as a condiment.
