Tried a new AS balm today. FA aftershave balsam. Very nice, brief sting followed by a soothing feeling.

Also the razor in the picture did a much nicer job than I expected. If no-onw buys it within the next few weeks it'll go into my permanent collection.

Nope, That's Bobbo's homemade strop. I really like it.

    DD Satinedge 6/8
    Simpson Rover pure badger
    Honeybee Amber soap
    Alum
    QED DaVinci H2O
    Swiss Pitralon A/S
    C&E Sienna ASB

Second shave with this DD and, while its a little light for my taste (the thinnest ground razor I own), it takes a very sharp edge (thanks Joe Chandler for the great honing job) and gives a great shave. I can definitely see why people like the DDs if this one is representative of the brand.

The second shave was much better than the first one as I had to adjust my technique slightly on account of how flexible this razor is.

Long hot shower ( sinus headache)
    cheap walgreens brush
    williams mug soap
AN EXECELLENT FRIODOR 7/8 that mparker gave me for my birthday
    whiskers just melted off
in the middle of the shaving the chin, answered the phone and proofed
the sharpness of the German steel, yea that left a cut. (recomened not aswering the phone while shaving)
