Beautiful shave and I'm very pleased with results on the neck. This razor took a fine edge w/o much trouble - a keeper for sure.

- A. J. Krank 4/8 half hollow
- Whitfield Saddlery #1 strop
- Muhle Pinsel brush.(el cheapo, but I like it nontheless)
- Conk's Lime soap with a dab of Palmolive cream
- Cold water rinse
- Witch hazel splash followed by splash of Dominica Bay Rum
The strop holds a special place in my heart. It was my very first. The fellow at Whitfield Saddlery made it for me for $3 just before they closed for good back in 92. It's just a 3 x 10 inch piece of pasted leather. No adornments other than a "#1" stamped on one end to indicate it was the first razor strop ever made at the Saddlery.

DD 6/8 Satinedge
Simpson Rover pure badger
Tabac soap
Alum
Tabac A/S splash
QED ASC
First shave with the Satinedge (honed by Joe Chandler). This is definitely the lightest/thinest razor I own and I can feel the difference. I got a great with the grain pass, but the against the grain pass was less than smooth. I now know why I like a slightly heavier blade - the DD is noticeably lighter than even my TI Sheffield steel.

Not a great shave today. A bit rushed and so little left after yesterday's super close shave. Oh well - there's always tomorrow.

First shave with my 8/8 Henckels Friodur Scalloped Back Round Point
CF lime shaving cream
GFT lime skin food
What a fantastic shave and got it right the first time didn't even have to put it to a hone sharpened up nicely off of the pasted paddle strop. I’m glad I have a moustache I would hate to have to shave my upper lip with this monster. I just might have to pick up some of the larger size razors.
