Thanked: 0I can tell you that in my case, at least, you were wrong. I saw these in a CVS Pharmacy and was curious... I didn't know Safety Razors still existed, frankly. So I used a store coupon and bought one of the Micro Touch Ones back in August of this year for $10 (after my coupon) + tax.
Now, 3+ months later, I have over 50 vintage and modern razors... Including two straights, a couple of single-edges, and a whole lot of various double-edge safety razors, from an Old Type to a new Edwin Jagger.
So... maybe it will have turned some people off to wet shaving. But in my case, it created an obsession

Thanked: 3Shotwell,
I agree. While I had used a straight before using this, I had not used a Safety Razor. I'm hooked. I've found that I get a much closer shave with this than almost any other way I've shaved. Even my 16-year old daughter loves it and she's into experimenting with different brands of DE blades to find the one she likes best.
I plan on upgrading from mine to a better Parker handle, but this has definitely got me hooked.
I would say "enjoy", but it sounds like you already are, my friend.

Thanked: 37These razors have been appearing in shelves in Walgreen's and CVS here in Puerto Rico, and they seem to be selling. The guy who sits next to me at work bought one and seems pleased with it but for the blades. I told him to buy Personnas at Walgreen's or at many small markets around. I have not ben tempted to buy one because I have a Merkur and a Gillete Tech.
